Warsaw Security Forum 2025

Warsaw Security Forum 2025

In October 2025, Lesia Orobets, founder of Price of Freedom, participated in the Warsaw Security Forum as part of the Ukrainian delegation from the International Centre for Ukrainian Victory (ICUV), in cooperation with colleagues from the National Interests Advocacy Network (ANTS), Euromaidan Warsaw, and in partnership with the forum organizers, the Casimir Pulaski Foundation.

We discussed Ukraine’s key priorities:

  • Victory for Ukraine;

  • European integration;

  • Confiscation of Russian assets as part of the #MakeRussiaPay campaign;

  • The #SkyShield initiative – creating an air defense shield over parts of Ukraine in cooperation with European partners.

At the “Mobilizing the World for Ukraine’s Victory” stand, we presented analytical materials and briefs, including “SkyShield: Defending Democracy”, which drew significant attention from international partners and served as a basis for further discussions on European security.

One of the main focuses was the SkyShield initiative. The Ukrainian delegation discussed its implementation with Estonian Defense Minister Hanno Pevkur and Dutch Defense Minister Ruben Brekelmans, expressing gratitude for their steadfast support.

As part of the forum, a high-level panel discussion “From Evidence to Accountability: Prosecuting Russia for Genocide Crimes” was held, moderated by Hanna Hopko. The discussion featured leading Ukrainian and international experts, including Oleksandra Matviychuk, Bjørn Berge, Marko Mikkelson, Kajsa Ollongren, and Oleksandra Uznanska-Wisniewska.

Particularly moving were the testimonies of Ukrainians who experienced the war firsthand: Yaroslav Bazylevych, who lost his family during a Russian strike on Lviv, and Mariupol veterans Yevhen Malik and Vladyslav Zhaivoronok, who endured captivity.

During the forum, Lesia also spoke with journalists, including Polskie Radio, and participated in a show with German journalist Kari Odermann, sharing her views on Ukraine’s victory and the shared responsibility for European security.

For the first time, Europe has fully realized that the threat is real – exactly what Ukraine has been warning about for years. We must protect our territories and our people from aggression, and now is the time for joint action through a shared security strategy, including SkyShield and DroneWall.
