Advocacy Visit to Brussels and Paris

Advocacy Visit to Brussels and Paris

In September 2025, Lesia Orobets, founder of Price of Freedom, carried out important advocacy visits to Brussels and Paris as part of a joint trip with the International Centre for Ukrainian Victory (ICUV) and the National Interests Advocacy Network (ANTS). These visits provided a unique opportunity to discuss with European partners the key topics we are actively working on: the creation of a European Sky Shield over Ukraine #SkyShield, joint defense production, the need for reforms, and Ukraine’s path toward EU integration.

In Brussels, Lesia held a series of meetings with leading political figures at the European Parliament, the European Commission, and the NATO headquarters. During these discussions, they focused on strategic support for Ukraine, prospects for defense cooperation, and joint steps to strengthen Europe’s security.

In Paris, Lesia had the honor of meeting with members of the National Assembly, including Laurent Marcoux and Constance Le Grip. During the meetings, they expressed gratitude for their unwavering support for Ukraine and discussed advancing the #SkyShield initiative as well as the confiscation of Russian assets under the #MakeRussiaPay campaign. They also addressed Ukraine’s path toward EU integration and the development of joint defense production.

In Paris, a demonstration in support of Ukraine also took place, with the participation of the Union of Ukrainians of France (CRCUF) / Pour l’Ukraine, pour leur liberté et la nôtre, Ukraine_CombArt, Alliance des femmes pour la démocratie, Aide et Support, and the French Committee of the European Solidarity Network with Ukraine.

During the demonstration, Vlada Dumenko, Head of Communications at ICUV, highlighted the importance of the #MakeRussiaPay campaign and spoke about the urgent need to implement the #SkyShield initiative. One of the key messages of the demonstration was: “A European Sky Shield for Ukraine — protecting all of Europe.”

A standout moment of the trip was participation in the Forum France Ukraine 2025, organized by the National Youth Council of Ukraine and the French Institute of International Relations (Ifri).

The partners came to understand that the war could potentially reach their own territories, and they also saw that Ukraine is not only seeking support but is ready to share its experience, assist Europe in strengthening its defenses, and provide expertise in effective military strategies.

The #SkyShield initiative once seemed far from reality, but today it is being heard, supported, and acted upon. We work every day to promote #SkyShield, strengthen defense cooperation, and move Ukraine closer to victory.
